Money Does That To People

After having been laid off 36 weeks pregnant by Melinda Pearson with the City of Omaha, I decided that I can no longer allow my life to be taken for granted any longer... by anyone.  I am a very smart young woman and have always known of my potential, as have others.  All I ever do is clean up after other people, just to be left on the curb waiting for my big day.  "Bethany, will you do this"... "Bethany, will you do that"...  "That looks awesome, I couldn't have done a better job."

Sure, it's in my nature.  I am an all around people pleaser.  When I was younger, you could call it peer pressure.  I felt that if I didn't help others at every beck and call that I was not going to be liked anymore.  These days, I guess you could call it physical and emotional abuse.  Especially when those treating you that way are adults themselves.  They are supposed to know better, aren't they?  Maybe not.  Maybe most of them really are that selfish.  Money does that to people.
